New Glasses for a New Chapter: Why I Chose Two Prescription Frames from Lensmart

I’ve worn the same Ferragamo glasses for almost two years now. They became a huge part of my identity. So when it was time to update my prescription, I could have simply replaced the lenses in my old frames.

Instead, I decided I wanted something new.

I chose two very different pairs of prescription glasses from Lensmart; the Rory and the Keeley. I wanted one pair that could be part of my everyday look and another that would work when I wanted my glasses to be less noticeable.

The Rory: My Everyday Prescription Glasses

The Rory is my everyday pair. They have a chunky, 70s-inspired square silhouette that makes an immediate statement, but the soft pink and champagne tortoiseshell keeps the frames from overwhelming my face.

I also love how the color works with my warm skin tone and gray hair. They stand out on camera without looking harsh, which matters because I spend a lot of time creating content.

These are the glasses I want when I'm perfectly fine with my frames being part of the outfit—and sometimes the main event.

I feel like I don't need much when wearing these. No makeup required.

The Keeley: A More Subtle Prescription Frame

The Keeley solves a completely different problem.

I wanted a pair I could wear to special events when I wanted to see clearly without my glasses competing with the rest of my look. With my old frames, I would sometimes go without glasses and then pull them out when I needed to see.

The Keeley's rounded shape works naturally with my brows and cheeks, while the deep copper/rose-bronze metal has a subtle satin finish. They're polished, but they don't demand attention.

Rory or Keeley?

The Rory is bold, colorful and made to be noticed. The Keeley is understated, polished and designed to complement the rest of the look.
